zLabels is Zalando’s fashion subsidiary. Located in the heart of Berlin, we develop fashion brands handling every step in the product lifecycle from initial design right through to distribution. When designing for new labels we draw inspiration from haute couture collections and young unconventional designers. We have a wide range of fashion labels and brands: from sporty men’s fashion to refined women’s wear up to modern kids shoe collections. Some of our brands and labels like mint&berry, Zign and KIOMI have become extremely successful during the last few years, establishing ourselves as a professional fashion company. We plan to continue and build upon this success in the futur.

COMMUNICATION/ PR MANAGER (M/W)

YOUR TASKS
–

  • You will develop communication strategies
  • You will have the responsibility for planning PR campaigns and putting them into action
  • You will manage our PR agencies
  • You will build up and maintain contact networks with journalists in relevant online and print media (magazines and websites)
  • You will maintain our press page, writing press releases and blog posts
  • You are the person who will respond to PR related questions and requests
  • You will act as a representative of the company on social media sites e.g. Facebook, Instragram
  • You will build a contact network with fashion blogs
  • You will support our marketing team in general and specific PR matters
  • You will plan brand specific strategies and oversee our PR budget
  • The research of PR strategies in international markets is your responsibility

YOUR PROFILE
–

  • You have a degree in Media, Marketing, Communications, PR or similar
  • You bring at least 2 years relevant experience, ideally in PR
  • You have experience in the fashion industry and bring a passion for fashion
  • You bring an affinity for the written word, good creative writing skills and an eloquent writing style
  • You have excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Professional experience with Web 2.0 interfaces (Facebook, Instragram, Blogging)
  • You have excellent German skills and your Business English is fluent written and spoken
  • You bring a high level of creativity and initiative
  • You  have excellent organisational skills and a structured approach to work
